What Really Drives Your Health Choices?
Your values drive everything you do. We often hear about the importance of having values in life—things like family, success, or kindness. But have you ever considered the values that shape your health? What actually guides the choices you make for your body, energy, and future?
My Personal Core Values
For me, this question has been at the heart of both my personal journey and my coaching philosophy. After years of working with women in midlife who are struggling to stay consistent, confused by conflicting advice, and frustrated with solutions that don’t last, I decided—like I always do—to go back to basics. I started with myself and took a hard look at what really drives my health choices.
I’ve identified three core values that drive everything I do:
💚 Honesty – seeing things clearly and moving forward with purpose
💚 Elevation – small, intentional growth over time
💚 Health – taking ownership of my well-being and making improving it a priority
These values keep me grounded. They help me cut through the noise and lead my clients toward real, lasting change.
Honesty: Seeing Things Clearly and Moving Forward with Purpose
Many women downplay their struggles—blaming age, metabolism, or their schedule—without really looking at what’s getting in the way. However, real change starts with clarity.
💡 What Honesty Means:
- Recognizing what’s working and what’s not—without guilt or shame.
- Letting go of misleading health trends and focusing on what’s actually sustainable.
- Taking ownership of your choices so you can move forward with purpose and confidence.
I don’t believe in sugarcoating things. At the same time, I know that beating yourself up doesn’t help. Instead, the goal is to see things clearly, get real about what needs to change, and take steps that actually make sense for you.you.
Elevation: Small, Intentional Growth Over Time
Too often, women fall into the trap of all-or-nothing thinking—going all in for a while, then burning out and quitting. In contrast, real transformation happens through steady, intentional growth.
💡 What Elevation Means:
- Focusing on consistent, manageable shifts instead of extremes.
- Learning to adjust and adapt instead of feeling like you’ve failed.
- Building a foundation of habits that make you feel strong, capable, and in control.
This mindset applies to everything—from strength training to nutrition to daily routines. No more burnout. No more unsustainable habits. Just progress that builds over time and actually lasts.
Health: Taking Ownership of your Wellness and Making It a Priority
Health isn’t just about appearance—it’s about how you feel, how strong you are, and how well your body functions over time. And to experience true health, you have to recognize that your well-being matters.
💡 What Health Means:
- Prioritizing daily habits instead of waiting for doctors to “fix” things later.
- Strength training to keep your bones strong and your body resilient.
- Eating in a way that fuels you—without obsession or restriction.
- Listening to your body instead of following rigid rules.
Too many women put themselves last, only making changes when things become urgent. But your health is not a luxury—it’s the foundation for everything else. Taking care of yourself now isn’t selfish. It’s necessary. You deserve to feel strong, energized, and in control.
